Molly Spence

Molly Spence, Director of North America, Almond Board of California
Molly Spence is a seasoned professional in the food world, with more than two decades of experience developing and executing strategy for food-related companies, associations and government programs. Currently Molly serves as the Director of North America at the Almond Board of California, where she is responsible for marketing, trade stewardship and market-access related activities in the U.S. and Canada on behalf of California’s 6,800 almond growers, who provide virtually 100% of almonds in the U.S. and more than 80% of the world’s almonds.

Molly contributes perspective and counsel to the almond industry’s research and programming strategies in the two key areas of nutrition and sustainability, and oversees communication on these topics with a wide varieties of audiences including consumers, media, registered dietitians and other health professionals, and industry professionals who use almonds in foodservice and food products.

Before coming to the Almond Board, Molly worked in the dairy industry, at communications agencies for a wide variety of clients, as a pastry chef, recipe developer, and as a business writer and food writer. She graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
